How to Reach Hotel City in Via Sant’Antonino, Florence

Hotel City is located in the historic heart of Florence, it is easily accessible by car, although for international travelers a gps navigator might be needed (google maps works fine).

The hotel is within the Limited Traffic Zone (ZTL) but guests can drive to the hotel for check-in. Upon arrival, make sure to inform the staff about the car so we assist you with registering your vehicle and parking options. Our recommendation is to use Garage Sant’Antonino, private parking, in the same street that provides secure and convenient parking during all your stay just a few steps away. Staff will provide a pricing list based on your car model.

  • From the A1 Highway: Take the Firenze Nord exit and follow signs for the city center (Centro). Proceed toward Santa Maria Novella station and then to Via Sant’Antonino.

By Train
The hotel is only a short 5-minute walk from Florence’s main train station, Santa Maria Novella (SMN). Upon exiting the station:

  1. Cross the square in front of the station (Piazza della Stazione).
  2. Reach Piazza dell’Unità the other side of the square 
  3. Then take the first street on the left , Via Sant’Antonino.
  4. You’ll find Hotel City just a few steps ahead.

By Plane
The closest airport is Florence Airport, Amerigo Vespucci (FLR), located approximately 6 kilometers from the city center. From the airport, you can reach the hotel in several ways:

  • By Taxi: A taxi ride takes around 15-20 minutes and costs approximately €30.
  • By Tram: Take the T2 tram line from the airport to the final stop, Santa Maria Novella/Piazza dell’Unità, (about 20 minutes ride). From there, follow the walking directions provided above.
